Personal Planets vs. Outer Planets
Astrologers generally split the ten bodies into two groups: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars move relatively quickly and are associated with personal, day-to-day temperament; Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto move much more slowly and are associated with broader, sometimes generational themes rather than individual quirks. Every placement still matters in a full birth chart reading — the split is just a useful way to organize ten different threads.
The Sun
